Strip Us of Pride

O Christ, you washed the feet of your disciples, you who are both Lord and Master. Strip us of the garments of pride and free us to do for one another the tasks of love, as you have done for us. In your name we pray, Lord Jesus Christ, who live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Serve the Poor Christ

God of mercy, you sent your Only Begotten Son to preach the Gospel to the poor. Continue to inspire your people with a love for all in need; bless the work of those who serve those in want; and grant relief to those who suffer from lack of food, shelter, or clothing. Through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Our Rock and Living Water

Almighty and ever-living God, your Word is the rock in which we take refuge against all outward disturbance and inner turmoil. Pour forth upon your people the refreshing stream of living water which wells up from the heart of your Son, that we may dwell together in inward and outward peace, through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Saint Padre Pio

God of mercy and of love, you called your servant Padre Pio to extend the mystery of the cross visibly into the lives of sinners and sufferers, that they might be converted and believe in the Gospel. Through his intercession, strengthen all believers in willingness to take up the cross daily and follow our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

God of Earth and Sea

Lord God of earth and sea, yours is the dry land and yours the water. Have mercy on us, who so easily forget that we are not gods but God’s creatures and beloved children. We worship you in all humility as the source of all life. Receive our prayer with loving kindness through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Giver of All Good Gifts

O God, the giver of all good gifts, our desire to praise you is itself a blessing you have bestowed upon us. We can offer you nothing that you do not already have except our love, which we render to you in worship and in service to all whom you redeem in Jesus Christ. Grant us glad gratitude in him, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
