The Beginning of New Life

Almighty God and Father, the human birth of your Only-Begotten Son was the beginning of new life. May he set us free from the tyranny of sin. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dec 29: St. Thomas Becket

Almighty God, you enabled Saint Thomas Becket to lay down his life with undaunted spirit for the rights of the Church. Let his prayer help us to deny ourselves for Christ in this life, and so find our true life in heaven. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dec 28: Feast of the Holy Innocents

Lord God, the Holy Innocents bore witness to you not by speaking but by dying. Grant that the faith we proclaim in words may be borne out by deeds. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dec 27: St. John the Evangelist

Almighty God, who through your apostle John unlocked for us the hidden treasures of your Word, grant that we may grasp with fuller understanding the message he so admirably proclaimed. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dec. 26: St. Stephen the First Martyr

Lord, today we celebrate the entrance of Saint Stephen into eternal glory. He died praying for those who killed him. Help us to imitate his goodness and to love those who persecute us. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. AmeN

Saint Stephen, pray for us.

Merry Christmas!

We pray you and your loved ones have a Blessed and Merry Christmas Season!

4th Sunday of Advent

Behold, a Virgin shall conceive and bear a son;
and his name will be called Emmanuel. ~Isaiah 7:14

Dec 23: Memoiral of St. John Kanty

“Fight all error, but do it with good humor, patience, kindness, and love. Harshness will damage your own soul and spoil the best cause.” ~St. John of Kanty

A Brilliant Glimpse

“Know that our faith is strengthened by the resurrection of Christ. The passion of Christ represents the misery of our present life, while the resurrection of Christ gives us a brilliant glimpse of the happiness of the future life. Let us apply ourselves energetically in the present life, and hope in the future. Now is the time for painful struggle; then will come the recompense. Those who are lazy about carrying out their work will be brazenly impudent if they expect the recompense.” ~St. Augustine of Hippo

The dwelling-place of divinity

O God, eternal majesty, whose ineffable Word the immaculate Virgin received through the message of an Angel and so became the dwelling-place of divinity, filled with the light of the Holy Spirit, grant, we pray, that by her example we may in humility hold fast to your will. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
