Saint Ignatius of Loyola

Lord God, you raised up Saint Ignatius Loyola in your Church to give greater glory to your name. Grant that, aided by his prayers, we may fight against all that is evil on earth, and with him receive the crown of victory in heaven. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Saint Martha

Almighty, ever-living God, your Son graciously came as a guest to the home of Saint Martha. By her prayers give us grace to serve Christ faithfully in our sisters and brothers, and bring us to your home in heaven.Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

The Smoke of Satan

“When, on your journey towards God, you encounter obstacles, that is, doubt, disbelief, an unpleasant feeling towards someone, or, indeed, any other passion, don’t let it trouble you. Just remember that all of this is smoke from the enemy, which is dispersed by a wave of the hand of our Lord, Jesus Christ.” ~St. John Of Kronstadt

Saints Joachim & Anne

Lord, God of our fathers, you bestowed on Saint Joachim and Saint Anne this singular grace: that their daughter, Mary, should become the Mother of your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant, at their intercession, the salvation you promised to your people. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Saint James, Apostle

Almighty ever-living God, who consecrated the first fruits of your Apostles by the blood of Saint James, grant, we pray, that your Church may be strengthened by his confession of faith and constantly sustained by his protection. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Saint Sharbel, hermit

O God, who called the Priest Saint Sharbel Makhlūf to the solitary combat of the desert and imbued him with all manner of devotion, grant us, we pray, that, being made imitators of the Lord’s Passion, we may merit to be co-heirs of his Kingdom. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Show favor, O Lord, to your servants and mercifully increase the gifts of your grace, that, made fervent in hope, faith and charity, they may be ever watchful in keeping your commands. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Saint Camillus of Lellis

O God, who adorned Saint Camillus with a singular grace of charity towards the sick, pour out upon us, by his merits, a spirit of love for you, so that, serving you in our neighbour, we may, at the hour of our death, pass safely over to you. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Christ is waiting for you in the poor

“When someone strips another of his clothes, he is called a thief. Should not someone who has the power to clothe the naked but does not do so be called the same? The bread in your larder belongs to the hungry. The cloak in your wardrobe belongs to the naked. The shoes you allow to rot belong to the barefoot. The money in your vaults belongs to the destitute. You do injustice to everyone who you could help but do not.” ~St. Basil the Great

Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Almighty Lord and God,  let the gracious intercession of our Lady of Mount Carmel help us. Under her protection,  may we come to the mountain of God, Christ the Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,  one God, for ever and ever. Amen
