Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross

All-powerful, ever-living God, you gave Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross the courage to witness to the gospel of Christ even to the point of giving her life for it. By her prayers, help us to endure all suffering for love of you and to seek you with all our hearts, for you alone are the source of life. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Saint Dominic

Almighty God, Grant unto all your people a hunger for your Word and an urgent longing to share your Gospel, that like your servant Dominic we might labor to bring the whole world to the knowledge and love of you as you are revealed in your Son Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

The Transfiguration of the Lord

O God, whom no eye has ever seen, you have revealed your glory in the transfigured face of your Son. Through his voice, you have spoken your Word to us. Give light to our eyes; make us attentive to the Gospel, for in baptism we have become his brothers and sisters and your children. Hear us through this same beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Freedom

Most merciful Lord and Savior, you wash away all our sins in the blood you shed upon the cross. Grant us the grace to rejoice in the freedom you have bought for us and to turn and set others free by the power of the love you have shown us, who live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Saint John Vianney

God of power and of love, you made the humble Curé of Ars powerful in holiness, in prayer, and in self—forgetful service of your people. Through his intercession and example, fill all your people with that love which wins devoted followers for your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen

The Open Door

O Lord, you have told us to knock and the door would be opened to us. You yourself are the doorway into everlasting joy. Open your way before us as we set out on this day’s journey and guide us to our journey’s end, that, when evening comes, we may enter the courts of your presence rejoicing, who live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Saint Alphonsus Liguori

“Just as a mother finds pleasure in taking her little child on her lap, there to feed and caress him, in like manner our loving God shows His fondness for His beloved souls who have given themselves entirely to Him and have placed all their hope in His goodness.” ~Saint Alphonsus Liguori

Prayer: Lord our God, you called Saint Alphonsus to serve your Church by pointing to the ways of holiness and by leading others into your service through the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, which he founded. Send us always wise and holy teachers, and guide us by their light, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
