At This Morning Hour

O God our Father, you sent your only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to be our way, our truth, and our life. At this morning hour, we lift our hearts to you in prayer and ask that you guide us through this day according to your will, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen

Set Free from Death

Lord God of light, you have shone upon our darkness and set us free through the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Grant us the grace to live in the freedom of the children of God, that where we walk this day, we may bring light, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Blessed Mother

God our Father, you gave us the Blessed Virgin Mary as our mother. We thank you for the great goodness of this sublime gift. May we ever become more faithful children of this worthy Mother, that, being led by her maternal hand through the bitter valley of this life, we may arrive safely upon the heights of your heavenly Zion. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

God’s Hand of Mercy

God of mercy and compassion, you hold out to us the hand of your mercy to raise us up from the misery our selfish sinfulness has brought upon us and upon those whose lives we touch. Teach us to weep where we have caused weeping, to mourn where we have caused mourning, and to lift up what we have brought low. In hope and trust, we turn to you for healing, through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

God’s All-powerful Wings

O God of justice and of love, you care for your people in every time and place, despite our tendency to stray from you in our foolishness. Keep us in your care from morning until evening, that we may come to rest safely in the shadow of your all-powerful wings. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen

Over all, in all, beyond all

O God, you are over all, in all, beyond all. Open our eyes to see the wonders that surround us; open our hearts to know the wonders of our brothers and sisters; open our lips to sing your praise. Restore all peoples in your image, who is our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen
