O God of the living, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, you gave Saint Maximilian the grace to follow your Son in laying down his life for another. By his example, inspire many to take up the cross for the salvation of the world, through the same Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
