O Adonaï, et dux domus Israël, qui Moyse in igne flammae rubi apparuisti, et ei in Sina legem dedisti: veni ad redimendum nos in brachio extento.

O Mighty Lord and leader of the house of Israel, who appeared to Moses in the burning bush, and on Sinai gave him the law: Come to redeem us with outstretched arm.

God of promises given and promises kept, you said long ago that you would send us one who would be both King and Messiah. Come to meet us in our preparation for the celebration of his birth, that we may see you in him who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
