Father, you called bishop Aidan and the saints of Lindisfarne to preach the word of God in Northumbria and to feed your people with the milk of simple teaching. By their example, inspire us to lead a good life and be generous to others. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
